Following communication by the Kenya Healthcare Professional Oversight Authority (KHPOA) to KAO received on 11th December, 2023, we hereby inform all our members that all registration/ licensing or renewal of annual practicing licenses for health professionals by KHPOA will be done through the e-Citizen platform. This is in compliance with the presidential directive to onboard all government services to the e-Citizen platform. You are therefore requested to process your registration/ licensing or renewal through the e-Citizen platform. To apply, health professionals should follow the steps outlined below: 1. Log in to your e-Citizen account 2. Search and select the KHPOA service from agencies 3. Fill in the application form 4. Upload required documents 5. Review and submit your application 6. Await verification (confirmation will be through SMS) 7. Make payment through Pay Bill Number: 222222 Account Number: 01071236943600 8. Download your registration certificate/practice license The fees for registration and licensing is as follows: 1. Registration License (Kenyans) not renewable - onetime payment KS 5,000 2. Practicing License (Kenyans) renewable yearly KS 5,000 3. Temporary License (Foreigners) renewable yearly – KS 10,000
