Licensing and Accreditation of Optometrists
KAO facilitate the licensing and accreditation process for opticians and optical businesses, ensuring that they meet the required standards and qualifications. Specifically for Optometrists, we facilitate registration with the Kenya Health Professionals Oversight Authority (KHPOA)
Continuing Education
We offer continous education programs to keep opticians and optical business owners updated with the latest advancements in the field, ensuring they maintain their professional competence and stay abreast of emerging trends.
Professional Development
We provide opportunities for professional development, including workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance the skills and knowledge of opticians and enable them to deliver high-quality vision care.
Code of Conduct and Ethics
We develop and enforce a code of conduct and ethics for opticians, outlining the expected professional behavior and ethical standards, to maintain public confidence and promote trust in the optical profession.
Complaint Handling and Disciplinary Process
We have an established mechanism for handling complaints and disciplinary matters related to professional misconduct, ensuring accountability and maintaining professional standards within the optical profession.
Public Awareness Campaigns
